About Birthing Mothers

What makes Birthing Mothers Different?

Committed to sharing a different perspective

Most maternal care focuses on the physical body, with little attention to emotional or spiritual well-being.  Care that does integrate the whole woman is often scattered, leaving women to piece it together on their own.

At Birthing Mothers, we are creating a more integrated, compassionate approach that embraces and nurtures the body, mind and heart. Our pregnancy and fertility resources help women reclaim self-trust and love for their body, through knowledgeable teachers who provide honest, clear, and kind guidance.

Note from Founder & CEO of Birthing Mothers

I created Birthing Mothers out of a deep belief that when women are truly supported, the whole world changes.

Women are the fabric of society. If women aren’t doing well, then the world isn’t doing well.

Motherhood was both beautiful and hard for me. I entered pregnancy without a close family system, and the loneliness I felt postpartum was something I wasn’t prepared for. I leaned heavily on my postpartum doulas and the integrative birth team I had assembled to get through birth. And in the months before conception, I poured myself into preparing: cleansing my body, tracking my cycles, working through emotional wounds from my own childhood, and sitting in meditation with my future child.

I realized that bringing intention and consciousness to the act of creating life didn’t just support me—it supported my baby, too. Profoundly.
